Top level industry executives and influencers lead panels such as ‘Latino Writers on Mainstream Media Platforms,’ conversations with critically acclaimed writers from the hit show “Girls” and the upcoming FOX premiere of “Gang Related,” who also penned Fast & Furious and “The Shield.”

Digital panels, featuring producers, writers and executives from Crackle, YouTube and Netflix – which are revamping and redesigning the way content is produced, distributed and consumed -include ‘How to Develop a Successful Digital Series,’ ‘Digital Production Simplified,’ and ‘How to Market Your Content Digitally to Gain Maximum Exposure.’

For 15 years NALIP has been at the forefront in shepherding sensitive issues such as how Latinos have achieved media justice, and what strategies need to be adopted in order to make additional progress for Latinos in the entertainment industry. Latinos comprise a mere 1% of executives in Hollywood. The percentage of minority industry writers in film and television has been frozen at 6% since 1999, and the percentage of minority directors is lower still. NALIP provides tools that are essential to succeeding in Hollywood, and has been the integral force in spotlighting esteemed and emerging Latino talent in front of and behind the camera in Hollywood.

NALIP will honor and feature 15 extraordinary NALIP members in celebration of their 15th anniversary, these members include, Maria Agui Carter (filmmaker), Natalia Almada (director), Richard Perez (director/producer), Cristina Ibarra (producer/director), Youssef Delara (director), Carolina Paiz (writer/producer), Aurora Guerrero (writer/director), Sergio Guerrero (writer/director/producer), Julia Ahumada Grob (actor/writer/producer), Adrian Martinez (actor/director), Jaime Escallon (writer/director/producer), Nicolas Entel (director), Rodrigo Reyes (director), Tery Lopez (WGA) and Gina Rodriguez (actor).
